Sarajevo, October 10th, 2025 - Development Programming Institute of Federation of BiH implements the project Better governance for trustworthy AI- BETTI, as one of ten partners, coming from eight European countries (FZZPR is the only partner from BiH).
BETTI Project is co-financed by EU, within Interreg Europe 2021–2027 Program. The Project goal is to integrate trustworthy AI standards into Federation of BiH policies, as well as to promote ethical AI use.
Today we organized the first meeting of Project’s stakeholder group, gathering representatives of institutions of Federation of BiH, universities and civil organisations. Members of the group will contribute BETTI Projects’ activities implementation in our country.
During the meeting we discussed how to further support AI use in public institutions of Federation of BiH, thus reflecting Bosnia and Herzegovina. Development Strategy of FBiH 2021-2027, whose creation process was coordinated by FZZPR, has identified innovations and digitalisation as one of three key socio-economic and institutional development accelerators, with no significant progress so far.
BETTI Project activities will be focused on intensifying the application of AI, while introducing ethical standards that European Union countries aspire to. This will enable good practice exchange within BETTI partners’ network, since most of them are coming from countries with useful experience in the field.
