Second Meeting of the Coordination Board for Drafting The Development Strategy of Federation of BIH 2021 – 2027

Sarajevo, October 10, 2019 – Second meeting of the Coordination Board for Creation of Federation Development Strategy was held today in Sarajevo. The Board gathers representatives of all levels of governments in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its formation operationalize the vertical and horizontal coordination of the Strategy drafting process. It represents the highest advisory body of the Government of Federation.

The Coordination Board for Drafting of the Federation Development Strategy consists of representatives of the Federation BiH Prime Minister Office, the Federal Institute for Development Programming,  Economic Councel of Federal Government, Federal Ministries, the General Secretariat of the Government of the Federation,Cantons, Union of Municipalities and Cities of the Federation, Gender Center of Federation BiH, Federal Bureau of Statistics and Employers Associations.

 

Ivana Mišković, Chairman of the Board and Advisor of Prime Minister of the Government of Canton 10,  reminded on the process of the creation of the Federation Development Strategy, an integrated multisectoral strategic document defining public policies and directing socio-economic development of the Federation. Her deputy, Nijaz Avdukić, and Deputy Director of FZZPR, presented the new deadlines for the strategic document creation, caused by the complexed administrative procedures.

Prof. Nedim Čelebić, Strategy Development Methodology Expert, presented the realization of 12 workshops during wich, with the local experts assistance and participation of the key acters of socio-economic life of Federation, were considered key problems, chalenges and potentials in certain socio-economic areas, and development solutions suggested to become the integral part of Development Strategy.

Federal Institute for Development Programming, as the coordinator of the sustainable socio-economic development of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized the meeting. Realizasation of the meeting is supported by the Integrated Local Development Planning Project, common activity of UNDP and Swiss Government, and Public Administration Reform Project implemented by GIZ.
